Commercial Printing by TGF
Since
we started in the printing business, we have always tried to provide
quality service at the best possible price. Over the years, paper and
ink have gone up, while some labor and supply costs have gone down (due
to computers). People sometimes notice that printing prices have
remained relatively stable over the years - the same job we sell for
$99.00 today was $99.00 in 1988. A few of our customers feel like
they're really getting a great deal, since everything else they pay for
has gone up. And they are correct - they ARE getting a good deal.
Even
with internet and cable, there is still no substitute for print
advertising. People still need business cards, posters, banners, and
other printed items. Our business has grown considerably during the
past few years - but not our printing operation, which is still about
the same size as it has been for years. We have grown instead in the
internet aspect - wholesale and retail web hosting.

Presses are all rolling
The damages caused by Hurricane Ike slowed us down for the past
few weeks, but all of our presses are rolling now. Because nearly all of
the printers in Galveston were unable to print, we assisted in getting
jobs done for several other small printing companies.
Our internet
orders have been very busy lately as well, so although our normal job
turnaround is 3-5 days, we are only guaranteeing 7 days for basic print
jobs at the moment.

Another newspaper?
TGF will soon begin printing our 4th newspaper - most likely in
January. We are currently looking to add a sales peron (commission) who
can assist with some editorial duties as well.
